Sabson is one of the protagonists of Wishmere. He was bullied his entire life, but now wields immense power.

He is one of the world's greatest master magicians and thus has unlimited magical potential.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Ever so intelligent and a loyal friend, Sabson finds peace in reading a book in silence and hanging out with his friends. His inner world is peace, while his world around him is chaos: since young, Sabson has been bullied mercilessly and brought up in a tough household. Though his life was rough, Sabson remained strong and maintained resolute that one day, he could craft a life for himself. His friends are a steady anchor for him, he confided in his friends, whom he cherishes greatly.

While Hazelroad High was overrun by Doubt's army, Sabson and his friends were rescued by King Elreed. Faced with an important decision and the looming shadow of destiny, Sabson accepts. In the Energies, he is transformed into one of the most powerful human beings in the world: a master magician. Now, he finds that the tables of fate have turned.

To earn some extra allowance and to escape his home life, Sabson works part-time at a phone repair shop.

Gameplay Overview[edit | edit source]

Sabson is a defensive based character, great at denying his opponents their well-constructed approach. Sabson possesses an array of counters, with each serving a purpose. His denial of opportunity is compounded by his Edge, where he can use his Mana Sprites to cover his recovery or keep pressure on. He is the only character with 2 sets of Abilities, allowing for more flexibility but much more complexity. He has hard hitting Abilities that are slow in recovery and startup, requiring to condition his opponents through counters and force block strings.

Edge: Assistants of Mana[edit | edit source]

Activating Assistants of Mana will make Sabson summon 2 sprites at his side, tracking his movements. Pressing EDG will make the sprite attack, and pressing EDG again will make the second sprite attack. After each attack, the sprite will go through a brief cooldown period. This can be done at any time, unless Sabson is taking damage. This allows Sabson to cover recovery lag and create large combo strings that he usually wouldn't have access to.

Pros:[edit | edit source]

  • Makes fantastic use of Fate gauge, lengthening his combos to very long combos and assist in making his offense approach safer
  • Counter Abilities stop all forms of pressure and okizeme
  • With his Edge, he can change the pace of the game; extremely strong pressure and can cover recovery from moves
  • Very large and meaty hitboxes for some of his attaacks, dominating in range
  • Can easily shutdown an opponent with his counters and well placed far ranged (but slow) attacks

  • Very reliant on resources
  • As a counter reliant character, he cannot unlock his best tool (his Edge) without countering the opponent to charge up his Edge Mandala gauge
  • Very few damaging combos (outside of using resources)
  • Large moveset that is very situational
  • Below average health
